Est. discretion. Salt, brass, and patience.

Quiet stewardship of extraordinary vessels.

Aldridge & Charles is a private marine office attending to a small roster of principals across the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Northwest. We do not advertise. We do not scale. We answer.

01 — Services

Four practices. One standard.

i.

Yacht Management

Flag, finance, compliance, crew. We act as the principal’s shoreside office, removing every operational decision that should not reach the saloon.

ii.

Brokerage & Acquisition

Off-market vessels, selectively presented. Sea trials in our own time. Surveys we trust. A purchase process measured in months, not weeks.

iii.

Refit & Project Oversight

From cosmetic refinishment to engineering re-power. We sit shipyard-side, owner’s representative, until the launch is right and the paperwork is closed.

iv.

Crew & Concierge

Captains and chefs we have known for two decades. Provisioning, berths, customs, transit. A telephone number that does not change.

02 — Approach

A house, not a firm.

Founded by two friends who could not find the marine office they wanted to use themselves, Aldridge & Charles is built on three principles: privacy is a service, restraint is a discipline, and time at sea is the only metric that matters.

We are paid by retainer. Our roster is closed for most of the year. Introductions come from clients, captains, and a small number of trusted brokers. If you have arrived here by way of search, you are welcome to write; we will answer plainly.

  • § One principal, one director, one telephone number.
  • § No referral fees, no kickbacks, no surprises on the invoice.
  • § Annual books reviewed by independent maritime counsel.
  • § A standing rule: nothing said aboard leaves the vessel.

03 — Enquire

Write to the office.

Briefly tell us about your vessel or what you are looking for. The director on duty will respond within two working days, usually fewer.
